Post any Plot or story ideas here!

I will keep a list of acceptable ideas on this first post.



What we have so far!


--Opening gameplay --


game can start in an underground bar in a meeting for an uprising against the dogmans oppressive reign

--OR--

a pre story
to how his reign came to be
and how were all connected to i


dogman has risen and taken over the world he lives in a secret dungeon. he has several henchman
stationed around the map that know how to get in and ya gotta defeat them
saving various townfolk along the way form the perils of dogmans reign

--it can take place in the year 2012

Okay. Going to divide the game across multiple "Discs" or Chapters.

Chapter 1 - The Rise of Dogman
Chapter 2 - The Reign of Dogman
Chapter 3 - The Fall of Dogman

Each chapter will be its own game, though you will be able to transfer game saves, therefore keeping ur levels n shits. Open to Modifications. Moar Chapters? Better Namez? Fuuuuuu-

Had an idea for the final level.

The final level will involve a cherry hill run. A cherry hill run to the Cherry hill nature preserve, which is said to be Dogman's lair. It can be like a forest maze, since it sort of is in real life lulz. The basic art theme can be like a "Dead Forest" type thing, brown leaves, brown grass, lots of dirt, dead trees, etc.

then once we find his lair, itll be in like a hellish looking dimension, lava and rocks everywhere and shit. some kind of portal looking thing can take us there.

Just realized this wasnt in here.

This really depends on which way we want to take the story, like where in the dogman timeline the game will start.

If we decide to start the game some time after dogman already rules the earth, i think this would be a GREAT start:

The game can start with Jimbo, working in his underground lab developing various anti-dogman gadgets and weaponry.

However, if we decide to start the game pre-dogmans reign, then later transition to post-dogman (after 12/12/2012?)
The world is green and stuff, everyone is happy. Opening scene to Jimbo waking up at 3pm, and going outside.

Jimbo - "Boy it sure is a great day for a Cherry Hill Run"

Queue adventure music. Jimbo picks up a few of his friends, and they go on an epic cherry hill run. Then enter the Cherry hill nature preserve, unknowing that it is where dogman was permanently put to sleep by unknown wizards of another era. Jimbo and co. mistakenly awaken the dogman, letting loose his reign of terror.

Jimbo - "Holy Shit!"

They run for there lives. Most dont escape, but jimbo was lucky enough to.

Queue date fade in (Post dogman's overthrow of the United Nations)

THEN we could go to the underground jimbos lab scene. Jimbo feels guilty for letting his friends be caught, but he had no choice, or he would have been taken as well. Jimbo is on a quest for revenge. For salvation. A quest to free the world of dogmans grip. Unknowingly, Jimbo's friends are still alive, and will stumble across them along the way. Some will join his cause right away, but others will hold a grudge for jimbo leaving them behind, and will require persuasion (through quests) to get them to join his cause.

HOLY SHIT GREAT IDEA if we go the pre-post route. a date system. various events will take place on specific dates in the dogman universe. Eg, game will start at January 2012, and only certain areas are available. then as the dates progress, new areas will open up, allowing story development. This can also prevent players from skipping ahead and getting super strong and such. at the beginning of each day, we can have a sweet fade in of the date or what not for sweet FX. This can also open doors for time-specific special quests. Eg, for jimbo to fight his arch nemesis cornsteam man, and obtain his ultimate weapon Star trek phaser, he can only do this at any date between January 2012 - August 2012. after that the opportunity is gone. Kind of adds a challenge to the game. optionally, we can make it so he has another chance to obtain it sometime later on in the game.

What if....

More Chapter 2 ideas. derp i got nothing for chapter 1.

In chapter 2, Dogmans reach even goes into other dimensions. We would have to travel to other worlds, such as, The Final fight universe, and complete a quest and save that world. the battles would still be turn based, no matter whcih game your in. but yeah it would be a nice spin on things. we would use the back to the future car to go there.
